Natural Misfit

Vandraux grew up a natural misfit among his own kind. Born from a widowed Duskwight mother and a cowardly Wildwood father whom fled way before his birth, Van faced the harsh reality of the real world at a young age, forced to learn how to steal just to put food in his and his mother's mouths, and forced to face discrimination from both Wildwoods and Duskwights alike.His natural balance of life remained untouched until the Garleans paved their way through his homeland, poisoning anything and everything that breathes with Black Rose. Van managed to escape the deadly gas. His mother, however, slowly suffered overtime.As the poison eventually took his mother's life, Van found himself alone, forced to do what he can to survive; from threatening and harming others for their valuables, selling his own body for Gil, and eventually joining a notorious Duskwight gang.

appearance

At a glance, his skintone sets him apart from all other natural-born Duskwights; light-grey with a hint of lavender undertone. A stark difference from the usual dark-grey and blue Duskwight skintones.Vandraux occasionally dresses himself up in ragged, tattered apparel. His usual outfits consists of ripped jeans complimented with leather jackets or denim vests, fishnets, and a whole lot of spikes and studs.Scars and stab wounds litter his body, and his tattoos refines his skin like artwork. Blacked out parts aids in making the floral design pop out around his body; an inked homage to his home in the Black Shroud. Even at farther distances, his stretched lobes and damaged ears catches the attention of many. Occasionally, two rings are seen pierced on the end of his left brow and a silver ring hangs pierced through his septum.His mullet-mohawk is the staple of his appearance. He's never seen without his iconic hair, even in wanted posters that scatter the walls of cities he gained notoriety in.Overtime, his influence with his Avatar and as a Reaper becomes obvious with the 'Void corruption' spreading from his right chest to his entire right arm and hands. His eyes becomes a bright and vibrant purple with black slit pupils.

The Screechers

The Screechers, notorious for their tactic of luring targets into dark caves and disorienting them by mimicking the screeches of bats with daggers against concrete, were a gang not to be taken lightly. They were as elusive as they were feared. They work in the dark, where it is easiest to capture and interrogate victims into surrendering their valuables in exchange for their lives.Van was the last, and youngest, member to join; and what he thought he'd find within the gang was not absolution, but discrimination amongst half of his peers because of his "impure Duskwight blood".Renaud was the oldest member and one of the founders of the gang, and became a father-figure to Van. He, along with the twins Blaise and Bastien, defended the youngest Screecher.Marius, Casimir and Armel, however, did not take kindly to Van. Even the leader (not pictured) treated him poorly.Van grew tired and irate from his constant mistreatment. He eventually challenged the leader and, by killing him off, he rightfully became the new leader of the Screechers.
